Dr. Shih received his bachelor’s degree from University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology. He completed his medical degree at University of Central Florida, College of Medicine, followed by an internship at his home program in Orlando, Florida. He completed the prestigious dermatology residency program at Boston University, where he trained with world renowned experts in skin cancer, hair loss, and skin of color. Dr. Shih was the recipient of the prestigious Skin of Color Society Research Award. He has authored numerous book chapters and publications in top peer-reviewed dermatology journals, such as Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr. Shih is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a faculty at the Department of Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital, committed to teaching the next generation of dermatologists.
