Aanand Geria, MD
Dermatologist
Aanand N. Geria, MD FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. In 2018, after working in Manhattan for several years, he founded Geria Dermatology in Rutherford, NJ, with the mission to provide the highest level of dermatologic treatment using innovative technology and evidence-based practice in a customized and compassionate environment.
Dr. Geria was born and raised in New Jersey. He earned his undergraduate degree at Penn State University and his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He completed a transitional internship at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Afterward, Dr. Geria completed his dermatology residency at Howard University Hospital and VA Medical Center in Washington, DC. He was appointed chief resident during his final year of residency.
Dr. Geria is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of The American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, New Jersey Dermatological Society, and Skin of Color Society. He has authored several articles in major peer-reviewed journals as well as lectured at local and national conferences. Dr. Geria is on staff at Holy Name Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center. He is a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
Since 2018, Dr. Geria has made the list of Castle Connolly’s “Top Doctors,” an honor awarded by his peers. In 2022, Newsweek magazine named Dr. Geria as one of the top 20 cosmetic dermatologists in the United States and one of the leading medical dermatologists. Nina Chopra, MD, MPH, FAAD
Dermatologist
Nina Chopra, MD, MPH, FAAD, is a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She has been honored to serve as the corporate dermatologist for multiple prestigious companies, including Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. In addition, she has worked with companies such as Bloomberg, Johnson and Johnson, Novartis, Barclays, Scholastic Books, Pfizer and Sanofi to assist with employee skin wellness and skin cancer screenings.
Dr. Chopra earned her medical degree in the accelerated BA/MD program at the George Washington University in Washington, DC, where her skills and aptitude were recognized with an invitation to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. After graduating, she completed an internship at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and served as the chief resident in dermatology at the State University of New York at Stony Brook. She also studied at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where she trained in dermoscopy, an advanced technique for accurate detection of skin cancers.
Dr. Chopra maintains clinical and research interests in nonsurgical approaches to aesthetic rejuvenation, the evaluation and treatment of skin cancer/ skin conditions, and dermoscopic evaluation of pigmented lesions. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and serves as an Associate Clinical Dermatology Professor at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City.
Her excellence as a dermatologist is widely recognized. Dr. Chopra was included in the Consumers’ Research Council of America’s Guide to America’s Top Dermatologists, and she has been awarded Castle Connolly’s top doctor award.

Maria Strangie, PA-C
Physician Assistant
Maria Strangie, PA-C is a board-certified Physician Assistant specializing in dermatology. She graduated cum laude from Hofstra University, where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Health Science. She earned her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at MCPHS University and completed training in various medical specialties throughout the Boston area.
After becoming a Physician Assistant, Maria began practicing dermatology in the New York City area. She has undergone extensive training and developed skills necessary to treat patients of all backgrounds. She has also completed a fellowship program and remains an active member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
Maria truly believes in providing exceptional care and looks forward to creating individualized treatment plans with her patients. She feels that it is important to fully educate patients so that they can be comfortable in making an informed decision. Maria enjoys both medical and cosmetic dermatology
Mukti Patel, RN
Aesthetic Nurse
Mukti Patel is a registered nurse focusing on aesthetics, skincare, and CoolSculpting at Geria Dermatology. She graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She then acquired 7 years of valuable patient care and nursing experience bedside, in the operating room, and in the post anesthesia care unit in several locations in New Jersey and New York City. Mukti naturally transitioned into an aesthetic nurse role, where she learned all of her skills from Dr. Geria himself. She has mastered skincare, HydraFacials, chemical peels, dermaplaning, microneedling with PRP and, CoolSculpting. Mukti’s nursing experience allows her to put her patients needs at the forefront of the care she delivers every day. Her biggest goal is to provide high quality patient care all while surpassing their cosmetic expectations. In her free time, she loves to cook and take her dog, Luna, out for long walks.

Olha Soroka is a certified aesthetician with over 5 years of experience in the field of dermatology. She has a passion for patient care and lifelong learning. She is originally from Ukraine and is fluent in Ukrainian and Polish. She is dedicated to providing clients with an educated, lifelong approach to caring for their skin. She enjoys working with clients on an ongoing basis to develop a results-driven skin care routine including both professional services and home care. When she’s not working at Geria Dermatology, Olha is exploring new places, rollerblading, and spending time with friends and family.

Ivanna Paranchak is a medical assistant with over seven years of experience in dermatology. She is devoted to providing patients with the finest possible care. For her, patient care and lifelong learning are intertwined passions. She was born and raised in Ukraine, and she is proficient in both Ukrainian and Polish. In her leisure, Ivanna enjoys spending time with her family, baking, and sewing.
Nicole Martinez is a licensed medical assistant with over 3 years of invaluable experience in the dermatology field. Her passion for healthcare is paralleled by her dedication to delivering patients a personalized, lifelong approach to skincare that aligns with their unique preferences. Nicole is fluent in Spanish. Beyond her professional dedication, she finds joy in exploring new cuisines, jet-setting to new destinations, and cherishing moments with loved ones on her spare time.
