Aanand Geria, MD
Aanand N. Geria, MD FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. In 2018, after working in Manhattan for several years, he founded Geria Dermatology in Rutherford, NJ with the mission to provide the highest level of dermatologic treatment using innovative technology and evidence-based practice in a customized and compassionate environment.

Education
Dr. Geria was born and raised in New Jersey. He earned his undergraduate degree at Penn State University and his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors. He went on to complete a transitional internship at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Afterward, Dr. Geria completed his dermatology residency at Howard University Hospital and VA Medical Center in Washington, DC. He was appointed chief resident during his final year of residency.

Dr. Geria is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He is a member of American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, New Jersey Dermatological Society, and Skin of Color Society. He has authored several articles in major peer-reviewed journals as well as lectured at local and national conferences. Dr. Geria is on staff at Holy Name Medical Center and Hackensack University Medical Center. He is a Clinical Instructor of Dermatology at Mount Sinai and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

Since 2018, Dr. Geria has mades the list of Castle Connolly “Top Doctors”, an honor awarded by his peers. He is frequently sought out for his input on the latest trends in dermatology as evidenced by his commentary in publication such as Allure, Fashionista, The Zoe Report, Couplex, Business Insider, and Coveteur. In 2022, Newsweek magazine named Dr. Geria as one of the top 20 cosmetic dermatologists in the United States as well as one of the top medical dermatologists. Dr. Geria is one of only 15 dermatologists in the nation to be recognized in both the Medical and Cosmetic categories by Newsweek.
