Hamza D. Bhatti, DO, FAAD, FACMS, is a double board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon at Geria Dermatology. He specializes in the treatment of high-risk, aggressive, and locally advanced skin cancers, with advanced expertise in Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction.

A Long Island native, Dr. Bhatti earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stony Brook University before completing his medical training in New York and New Jersey. He went on to serve as Chief Resident at Rutgers University and subsequently completed advanced fellowship training in Mohs micrographic surgery and cosmetic dermatology in South Florida.

Dr. Bhatti’s approach to skin cancer surgery combines technical precision with careful attention to both functional and cosmetic outcomes. His goal is not only to completely remove the skin cancer while preserving as much healthy tissue as possible, but also to carefully reconstruct the surgical area with consideration for healing, function, and appearance. His advanced training in both Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatologic surgery provides a strong foundation for treating cancers in complex and cosmetically sensitive areas.

Dr. Bhatti also has expertise in the management of high-risk skin cancers and immunotherapy-associated cutaneous reactions. He takes an individualized, evidence-based approach to treatment and works closely with patients to ensure they understand their diagnosis, surgical plan, and what to expect throughout their care.

Dr. Bhatti is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery. He is also dedicated to medical education and regularly teaches and mentors physician assistants, residents, and medical students.
