Frequently Asked Questions

Microneedling, otherwise known as percutaneous collagen induction therapy, is a relatively new, minimally invasive treatment that can be used to address several cosmetic concerns. Microneedling uses tiny needles to create “microchannels” in the skin. This stimulates wound healing cascade resulting in new collagen and elastin production.
Microneedling can help with skin rejuvenation, acne scarring, surgical scarring, fine lines, enlarged pores, uneven complexion, and stretch marks. Microneedling treatments can be combined with other skin rejuvenation treatments like Botox and PRP for enhanced results.
Optimal results are achieved with treatments every 2 to 4 weeks for 3 to 6 sessions. Occasional treatments may be needed to maintain your results.
Treatments are usually well tolerated and most patients can return to work the very next day. For two to three days, you may notice mild swelling, redness, and flaking.
