AquaGold is a revolutionary micro-infusion system consisting of gold-plated microneedles that are capable of introducing growth factors, peptides, antioxidants, vitamins, hyaluronic acid, and small amounts of botulinum toxin (Botox / Dysport) into the skin.

What ingredients can be infused with AQUAGOLD®?
Depending on your individual needs, a customized cocktail of powerful ingredients is infused into the skin during your treatment. This can include:
- Hyaluronic acid filler – to improve skin elasticity and firmness.
- Botulinum toxin – to reduce enlarged facial pores Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin may be added. This is sometimes called microbotox or mesobotox.
- Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) – growth factors derived from your blood to stimulate collagen and elastin production thereby improving skin tone and texture as well as fine lines and wrinkles.

When to expect results?
Within 2-3 days, patients may notice smaller pores and brightening skin with optimal results occurring after 7-10 days. Results should last 3-4 months.

Who are the best candidates?
AquaGold is best used for patients seeking a smoother, more youthful appearance, but does not require dramatic changes. Microchanneling treats the superficial layers of the skin to provide a modest but noticeable improvement in skin texture, reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, and increased collagen production. While microcanalization is not a replacement for injectable treatments, the small size allows for tighter spaces to be treated, and the small volume of solution applied helps ensure a smooth, natural result. It can be used effectively on the face, neck, and neckline.
How does AquaGold work?
The procedure is practically painless. Unlike many dermal filler injections, the treatment does not require anesthesia. The facial skin is cleansed and the chosen ingredients are placed in the sterile tube of the AquaGold device. It is then pressed into the skin in an overlapping pattern. Medications and products are administered to the skin, not in or under it. The device works with 24 tiny, precisely spaced needles that deliver product to the skin at an ideal depth of 600 microns.
Hollow needles hold the product. The needles sit on a platform and are smaller than human hair. They are inserted into the skin and then withdrawn, leaving the product behind. This creates a smooth, natural-looking result, leaving the face looking smoother, tighter, and rejuvenated. The microneedles stimulate cell renewal in the upper layer of the skin through gentle punctures, while the solution is dispersed in the dermis to improve results.
What to expect after treatment?
Patients might experience slight redness depending on how sensitive their skin is. This will ease up in 10 mins to 1 hour. AquaGold results can be seen immediately, the skin is left hydrated and glowing. Results continue to improve over the passing 2-3 weeks.
The next day after the AquaGold procedure you can feel free to go back to your normal skin regimen – you can even apply makeup (though it is suggested that you should speak with a dermatologist first about the best makeup for your skin in this case). Also, it is advisable to refrain from exercise until 24 hours post-procedure.
What are the AquaGold aftercare recommendations?
Firstly not use oily make-up until the next day, also not wash your face for at least 8 hours after the Aquagold treatment. No swimming, saunas, or steam rooms. Non-comedogenic sunscreens should be applied.
