What is KeraLase Hair Restoration?
KeraLase is a therapy that promotes hair development and improves scalp health by creating an environment favorable to hair growth. It eliminates the need for micro-needle rollers by using the Lutronic LaseMD laser to produce non-ablative micro-channels for the delivery of a proprietary mixture of growth factors and skin proteins (KeraFactor® serum) to encourage hair growth.
KeraFactor has highly concentrated levels of growth hormones and proteins that specifically boost hair growth and affect all 4 stages of the hair life cycle. Kerafactor is coated with nano-liposomes which aid its absorption, allowing for enhanced delivery of growth hormones directly to the hair follicles, with each nano-liposome containing thousands of follicle-specific growth factors.
Micro-channels have been demonstrated to increase nano-liposome absorption by a factor of five, hence enhancing the delivery of nano-liposomes in KeraFactor® Serum. For maximum results, the peptides in the serum particularly promote enhanced blood supply and the transition of dormant hairs into the actively developing phase of hair development.

Who are the best candidates for KeraLase Hair Restoration?

Unfortunately, patients who have the following conditions are not ideal candidates for this treatment:
- Alopecia (both non-scarring and scarring)
- Alopecia Areata (patchy and/or generalized balding, thinning hair with abrupt bare patches)
- Anemia
- Cushing’s Syndrome
- Decreased Estrogen levels (post-menopause)
- Elevated Testosterone levels
- Heavy metal toxicity (mercury, arsenic)
- Iron deficiency
- On certain medications (Zoloft, Prozac, etc)
- Thyroid disorders

What to expect on the day of KeraLase Hair Restoration
First, the Lutronic LaseMD® laser is administered to the entire scalp to optimize the absorption qualities of the scalp. The LaseMD helps prepare your skin for the second component of the therapy, KeraFactor® hair development serum, by opening the channels of the hair follicles so they can better absorb the serum.
After the LaseMD treatment, which lasts around five minutes, the KeraFactor® serum is applied topically to the scalp to encourage thicker, stronger, and fuller hair growth in both men and women. The KeraFactor® serum contains high concentrations of five growth factors and two types of skin proteins, which are meant to treat hair loss and an unhealthy scalp. After your scalp has been conditioned with the LaseMD laser, which has been demonstrated to enhance the absorption of these particles, nanoliposomes are employed to distribute the proteins and growth factors most effectively.
KeraLase is incredibly adaptable, as it may be used on both men and women, as well as on all skin and hair types. Importantly, it will not work for scarring alopecia, thus, the cause of your hair loss will be analyzed and identified before proposing the most effective treatment.
KeraLase Hair Restoration Recovery
Recovery from KeraLase treatments is typically very easy and virtually painless.
