Xeomin is an FDA-approved injectable used for facial rejuvenation. This wrinkle treatment can help you fight signs of aging like horizontal forehead lines, lines between the brows (glabellar lines), and crow’s feet around the eyes. Also known as the Botox alternative, Xeomin in New Jersey is an ideal option for smooth, wrinkle-free skin.
What Is Xeomin?
Botulinum toxin type A, the active component in Xeomin, blocks muscle fiber contraction. Many wrinkles are caused by over contracted facial muscles, and when Xeomin is injected, it allows these muscles to relax.
When scientists originally researched this drug, they discovered that it prevented nerve damage and degeneration. This led to treating wrinkles by decreasing muscle activity. In clinical studies, Xeomin reduced the formation of glabellar lines by an average of 60 percent.
Xeomin has been proven to provide a more youthful appearance through a simple treatment that takes as little as 10 minutes and is virtually painless.
Am I a Good Candidate for Xeomin?
Many people are good candidates for treatment with Xeomin. If you have fine age lines, this injectable option is most likely right for you.
Many patients get Xeomin in their 30s as a proactive way to maintain their healthy, youthful appearance, while others want to regain some of their youth later on in life. Before considering treatment, patients should be at least 18 years old and in good health.
BEFORE AND AFTER
Xeomin treatment will take place in our office. The procedure is simple, painless, and takes only 10 to 20 minutes to complete.
To begin the treatment, the areas of the face targeted for treatment will be marked as a guide. Next, Xeomin will be injected into the facial muscles that are causing the wrinkles. A topical anesthetic or a cold compress may be provided to relieve any discomfort with any injection.
After a Xeomin treatment, you should stay away from strenuous activity for four to six hours. No recovery time is needed, but you must keep your hands away from your face for approximately three hours. You may experience mild bruising or redness in treated areas, which should subside within two days.
You’ll start seeing results three to seven days after your treatment, and those effects will typically last for three to four months. As the muscles in your face relax, you may start to see a change in facial expressions, as well as a decrease in frown lines.
How Much Does Xeomin Cost?
The price of Xeomin treatments is not one-size-fits-all; it depends on several factors, including the number of areas to be treated, the desired degree of correction, and other considerations. The number of injections needed per treatment also impacts cost.
